Yes! We have many options, and we add more every semester. In fact, many items are added based on requests from students. All of our dining locations regularly have menu options that are made with Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free ingredients that are clearly identified on our signage. Visit our Simple Servings station at the Allen Dining Hall, all dishes feature foods made without milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten for people with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or other special dietary needs.
We take pride in serving you wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. From our general manager to our front line servers, we work carefully to address food allergies, celiac diets, or other special dietary needs.
We recommend that students with special dietary needs communicate with our General manager, Executive Chef, and/or District Dietician. In many instances, our dining team can easily assist with special needs. Shenandoah Dining also provides a dietitian who can assist you with your nutrition needs for your specific circumstances. Please see the " Meet the Dietitian" page for more info.
Occasionally, Dining Services cannot meet a student’s medical need with normal service. In this situation, we ask that you contact Shenandoah University’s Disability Services. Please visit the Disability Services website for more information.
